Mist spray in the front of CLS63

Though this video is about the Vertini wheels, I find the mist spray an interesting feature.
1st one to correctly answer my question gets a kopi.....
What's the purpose of the spray?

the water spray is to cool the intercooler for better turbo performance. Water + air into the intercooler will cool the hot air inside intercooler faster so that more more dense air (Oxygen) will be fed into the combustion chamber for higher combustion...hence faster acceleration.

Incidentally, this is not a standard feature for AMG. It's an old school mod for turbo cars. In my sprint days, we used water spray for windscreen & redirect it into the intercooler. For WRXs, some place dry ice on the intercooler which sits above the engine.

Actually u r not fully correct. It's not cooler air intake, but cooler air for intercooler. Still win KOPI lah.

Huh? Methanol or methonel? If its methanol, it's highly flammable....not recommended.
