5k Servicing @ C&C!!!!!!!

Just got slapped with an almost 5k bill by C&C for 60k servicing.

Can I check with fellow E Classs W212 owners if theirs cost the same too?

Apparently they change loads of stuff. 3 page of bills. Battery, disc rotor, front brake pads, brake sensor, engine & gearbox mounting, etc.

Didn't know mountings has to be changed every 60k. And I just changed my brake pads early this year!!!!!!

Why didnt they called you befoe changing any parts? There will be a standard price and menu for 60k service for your car. Did you check?

I changed my mountings & rotors/pads last week outside of C&C. Bought the OEM mountings,pads & rotors from Goldenlink & installed at a sin ming workshop for1/3 the price of C&C.

Bro...don't feel too bad ... you are not alone

This is a major servicing and should take about a day or 2...I had my 60K servicing done on my W212 E250CGI a few months ago and the costs should be around there...

As bro blackknight has correctly pointed out, the SA should always call you prior to the change so you don't get a shock...

As for my next major servicing, by then warranty expired liao...I will follow Doc's suggestion to get it done elsewhere

Mine done recently $3k+ MBM plus last time engine mount think end up almost the same. U can checkup super virus thread.

SA did call me. But I bulk of cost was standard servicing items.

Anyway, looks like pretty standard cost at C&C.

But how come our W212 mounting must change so soon?

The lifespan of these mountings depends very much on the way you drive. The more aggressive your driving style, the faster they wear out. But generally, they should be changed every 60k-80k km.

I have a concern now. Will be sending in my W212 for its second service as it will be 3 yr this July.
i still have about $1.5K service credit after my first service. and probably wont be going back to C&C after this one.

* Should i opt for its 60K service package for peace of mind? (mileage is only 20K now).
* Can i request for a $1.5K service package just to consume my free service credit?
* Is there anything i can request them to look into for replacement before the warranty expires? (for my Lexus, BM actually change my compressor and front door sealing for free even though it wasn't bad.)

I would do it outside at more reputable workshops...
